NOTE: “Somewhere Funner” does not promise fun. Bill Shelley & Chris Beards's one-night-only hybrid installation/social media/photography/performance artwork, “Somewhere Funner,” places a photo-booth within the gallery where guests are photographed in front of a “red carpet” style wall. The image is uploaded in real time to Blasted Art Gallery’s Facebook feed: facebook.com/blastedartgallery Guests can receive a copy of their photo sent to their phone. There is a live video feed of the gallery on a monitor in the hallway. We are not collecting data. Any data collected through the delivery of the guest’s photo via phone will be deleted at the end of the event. This takes place in an art gallery. So it must be art. Where is the art? What is the art? Who is the artist?
